The exhibition Maybe It’s a Hum is a unique sensory experience that brings together an exciting community of artists in a historical place.
This exhibition was designed very spontaneously: we solicited artists we recently encountered, or whose work we particularly enjoyed. Their vision and ideas could coexist within the same effervescent creative space, thereby fully enriching this collaboration.
On that occasion, we chose to present productions of a rare intensity, creations of groups, networks and families of artists recognized on an international scale.
Maybe It’s a Hum falls perfectly within the framework of the Atelier Rouart, which has been promoting the contemporary art scene since 2012.
We also decided to include extra artworks by some of the artists who built this venue a hundred years ago. These additions were self-evident, for if the exhibit is deeply rooted in present times, we feel it does not necessarily have to leave out the past.
