We are very happy to announce the first major change to the format of Contemporary Art Daily in nearly 11 years. From now on, in addition to our normal coverage, we will begin including occasional selections made by a small but growing network of outside contributors. Posts chosen by contributors will be clearly labeled, so you can see who chose what.

These contributors represent both existing channels of influence on our coverage and new ones. Our goal is to broaden the site’s perspective. At the start of the program, our contributors include Tenzing Barshee, Erin Christovale, Jacob Fabricius, Christina Li, Sohrab Mohebbi, Misako Rosen, and Big Apple Circus.

Please look forward, as we are, to seeing which projects they choose! And if there’s anyone you’d like to suggest as a future contributor, please send us an email: office@contemporaryartdaily.com

Contemporary Art Quarterly: Richard Aldrich

We are proud to announce the release of a new Contemporary Art Quarterly archive documenting the exhibitions of Richard Aldrich, from 1999 to 2019. At the artist’s request, this archive differs in format from the others we’ve published—it includes only installation views. In order to see individual paintings, please click through to the high-resolution images and zoom in to see works in situ.

Starting now, we’re going to be releasing artist archives more reliably on a quarterly basis. Please look forward to our next release in December. We’ve also lightly redesigned the Contemporary Art Quarterly homepage. It now shows all 16 archives in a random order each time you visit.
