Contemporary Art Library and Independent
As of today, the complete photo archive of the Independent comprising 20 art fairs from the last 14 years is available on Contemporary Art Library. This is a living archive which we plan to continue building in part with your help: if you have any materials or information about presentations from Independent over the years please email desk@contemporaryartlibrary.org.
This effort is part of a new Partnership between the Library and Independent; working together to gather and make accessible the histories of closed galleries/spaces in New York City. The New York Gallery History Project will collect the archives of 5/10 in the coming years and bring them to you on Contemporary Art Library!
In the meantime, Indenpendent will be this weekend in New York from May 9-12.
